At Lynne Fernandes Optometrists we have wide ranges of products to compliment your eye care. These include sunglasses or sports eyewear.

We also have many cases and cleaning accessories to keep your spectacles in the best condition.

Sunglasses

Protecting your eyes from harmful UVA and UVB rays can help prevent a number of eye diseases, including cataracts.

At Lynne Fernandes we recommend sunglasses for all children as their eyes are susceptible to the effects of sun damage from birth. We have a large range of sunglasses suitable for all ages, from babies right through to teenagers.

We hold a range of sunglasses but recommend a polarised sunglass to give the clearest definition by reducing glare. Like Maui Jim®, which provide excellent lens technology to give your eyes the highest quality sun protection.

They also not only protect against UVA and UVB but also manage blue light which can cause damage to the retina.

Prescription Sunglasses

Our children’s prescription sunglasses start from £25.00.

Our styles vary from up to date fashion to traditional frames. We also have a range of coloured tints and depth of tint all with full UV protection. Polarised prescription sunglasses are also an option offering you the benefit of reducing glare.

Our trained staff will be more than happy to advise on all your options.

Sports Wear

At Lynne Fernandes, we keep a range of prescription swimming goggles to suit most prescriptions. We can also order diving masks to prescription.

For other sports we offer a range of glasses suitable for cycling, golf, running, skiing and other sports, with specific tints to aid vision for those particular sports by enhancing contrasts and reducing eye fatigue. The sports spectacles are comfortable, lightweight and durable.

Accessories

It is recommended that you use a dedicated spectacle lens cleaner as they enhance the clarity of your lenses by preventing smearing, especially with anti-reflection coated lenses. For optimum cleaning – use with a Microfibre cloth.

Microfibre is a highly functional material that has the remarkable function of cleaning and water absorption. The cloths are designed to absorb dust within itself and the cleaning quality is excellent without scratching the lens surfaces.

Our cloths are highly durable and can be washed and reused numerous times. We keep in stock various sizes of cleaning sprays and microfibre cloths.
