BA (Hons)I graduated as an Optometrist from the University of Manchester in 2014, completing my pre-registration training in Bath. Since then, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including domiciliary care—providing eye exams in care homes and patients’ own homes.* Alongside locum roles in high-street opticians, I spent three years at Cardiff University as a clinic supervisor, training student optometrists and discovering my love for teaching.
My time in Wales also gave me hands-on experience in emergency and urgent eye care. Beyond the UK, I’ve volunteered abroad with Unite for Sight, providing eye care in Ghana (2017) and India (2019). These experiences reinforced my belief that everyone deserves access to quality vision care.
