My new mykita work glasses, styled@LFO

From functional to fabulous

G

As an optometrist, I value great eyewear - but I'll admit I don't update my own glasses as often as I recommend to patients. My previous pair, a stylish Albert I'm Stein, served me well for years, but with that brand no longer part of our curated collection and with my work needs evolving, it was finally time to explore something new.

So, I turned to Toby at Styled@LFO, and together, we discovered the perfect addition to my eyewear wardrobe. For those searching for eyewear in Bristol, our tailored approach really does make all the difference.

Styled by Toby, chosen by me

Toby brought his styling expertise to bear, guiding me through our curated LFO collection with his usual calm insight. He pulled a selection that balanced personality, comfort, and professional polish - eventually leading me to the Mykita Leto from their Mylon 3D-printed series.

In deep purple with bold block styling, this frame struck the perfect note: confident without being loud, modern but timeless. The moment I put them on, I knew this was curated by LFO, but very much chosen by me.

3D printed and surprisingly weightless

Despite its strong aesthetic, the Leto is feather-light. Mykita’s Mylon material, crafted through precision 3D printing, offers structure and presence with almost no weight.

That matters when you're in glasses for 10+ hours a day. With these, there’s no pinching, no slipping, no “glasses fatigue.” Just effortless comfort from morning to evening.

Intelligent vision with an occupational lens

To support my clinical work, I paired the Leto frame with an occupational lens, and it has transformed the way I see at work. I can move seamlessly between:

  • My slit lamp
  • Multiple computer screens
  • My phone
  • Walking around indoors

This lens type gives me sharp, dynamic focus across all near and intermediate distances - making it the most practical, flexible lens I’ve ever worn.

A growing eyewear wardrobe

This Mykita joins a personal collection I genuinely love:

Each pair plays its part, and the Leto now takes its place as my most intelligent, quietly powerful, everyday clinical frame. If you're considering some new glasses in Bristol, we invite you to discover our collection.

At Styled@LFO, we talk about building an eyewear wardrobe - a curated selection that reflects who you are, how you work, and how you want to feel.

This latest addition has reminded me why we love what we do: the right eyewear doesn’t just help you see better, it lets you feel more like yourself.
